Brit Davis says it’s a privilege to attend the Brownlow Medal and support her husband-to-be Joel Selwood.
Davis and the Geelong captain are due to marry in January.
“We really do ride every single emotion and it’s their lives, you want to see your partner do the best they can,’’ said Davis, a special needs teacher and model.
“I’m very proud of him. He’s just so amazing at what he does and goes about everything in the right way.
“The wedding is creeping up slowly and we’re getting all the details sorted.”
Davis and Selwood have been together for five years and she no longer has those red carpet nerves.
She is being styled by Lana Wilkinson in a Paolo Sebastian gown for footy’s night of nights.
“I do enjoy it, and it’s nice to celebrate with the boys,’’ Davis said at Crown Towers.
“It’s exciting that Paddy (Dangerfield) might win it, you never know.”
Selwood finished last week’s final against West Coast with a bruised and bleeding face but she is used to seeing her warrior fiance give his all.

“He’ll look great, it’s just a bruise and it’ll heal. When he first did it, he said it’s been two and a half years since I’ve bled like that. Wow, that’s pretty good,’’ she said.
Others attending from Geelong include favourite Patrick Dangerfield, Mark Blicavs, Tim Kelly, Tom Hawkins and Tom Stewart.
Lana Wilkinson is also styling Jessie Murphy, wife of Carlton’s Marc; Scherri-Lee Biggs, partner of West Coast’s Brad Sheppard, Channel 7’s Abbey Gelmi and last year’s Brownlow winner Tom Mitchell.
