FOX FM’s breakfast team are in double digits in the ratings as listeners flock to Fifi Box and Brendan Fevola.
But SEN’s Gerard Whateley is in free fall on SEN, and ABC Melbourne’s breakfast timeslot is still struggling after the removal of Red Symons.
The Fox Team, including Byron, hit 10.3 in the latest radio ratings survey out this morning.

They were the best of the FM breakfast crews, with Triple M’s Hot Breakfast dropping 0.5 to a 7 and Gold FM, with Christian O’Connell, dropping 1.3 to a 7.4.
But overall, Melbourne listeners prefer smoothfm over any other FM station.
The station has secured an increase of 21,000 listeners to become the no 1 station in the city with a 10.4 share, taking out the top spot in mornings, evenings and across the weekend.
Nova 100’s group programme director Paul Jackson said the station had performed consistently since the station launched six years ago.
“We are thrilled with today’s strong results in Melbourne and Mike and Jen the equal number two breakfast show and the station number one in mornings, evenings and weekends.”
Cameron Daddo’s evening show hit 9.7, Mornings with Ty Frost stretched to 11.8 and Weekends soared to 11.6.
Meanwhile, Nova 100’s Chrissie, Sam & Browny are the equal number two FM breakfast show in Melbourne with a 7.7 share.
“It’s great to see Chrissie, Sam and Browny increase in both cumulative listeners and share this survey,” Mr Jackson added.
Ross and John continue to dominate on the AM band, but dipped slightly to a still commanding 18.6.
But ABC Melbourne’s breakfast team also fell, dropping by 0.7 to 8.5.
That’s down from 11.9 at the same time last year under Symons.
In sports radio, SEN’s woes continue with Gerard Whateley’s highly-promoted morning program dropping to 2.4.
Whateley has now lost almost half of Kevin Bartlett’s audience, with the former Tiger’s show in the same timeslot rating 4.2 at the same time last year.
Macquarie Sports Radio’s breakfast timeslot has continued to struggle with a 0.1 audience share, while former Melbourne star David Schwarz and Mark Allen dipped to 0.9 on the new AM sports station.
Overall, 3AW remains the strongest station, followed by Smooth FM, Fox and Gold FM.
