Brendan Fevola was in shock after being spoilt by his family on his 40th birthday on Wednesday.
The former AFL star turned broadcaster finished his breakfast radio show on FOX FM and was blown away by the gifts.
He first received a vacuum cleaner and then a Play Station which he said was the best present ever. But then he was stunned when a new Mercedes-Benz car pulled into their driveway.
“Just got home and this is what my family got me for my 40th birthday.... A brand new car. What!!!!!!! And the number plates are BLT, I love them. Mercedes Benz Brighton, have a look at that.”
Alex Fevola paid tribute to Brendan on behalf of her and their four daughters.
“Happy 40th birthday @brendanfevola25 finally you’ve joined the club!! Thank you for being the best Dad and husband in the world. We are so lucky to have you!! You are the happiest person who brings light to all of our lives. Thank you for all that you do and for being you. We love you.”
Fevola also received wishes from Karl Stefanovic, Tones and I, Dave Hughes, Anthony Callea and Tim Campbell.
It’s been a big week for the Fevolas with Mia celebrating her 21st birthday last Thursday.
Mia was brought to tears when she opened her gift from her parents, a diamond ring, and she was also emotional watching Brendan being treated on his milestone.
Alex said she was “truly blessed” with her first born, while broadcaster and former AFL star Brendan said he was “so proud”.
Brendan recently told the Herald Sun he was proud of his own achievements, and had the best job in the world doing breakfast radio for the past six years.
“The thing is you wake up at 3-3.30 every morning and I used to get home then but it’s a great job, great people, best job in the world,’’ Fevola said.
“The last ratings we had the most listeners out of any FM station in Melbourne.
“I remember Eddie (McGuire) saying something about his son, when he started he was in prep and he just finished year 12. So that’s incredible when you think about it that he’s done 11 years, his whole school life he was doing breakfast radio.”
On Mia’s birthday Brendan posted: “Happy 21st to my beautiful daughter @mia.fev 21. Where has the time gone. Mum and I are so proud of the young lady you have become moo. Not our little baby anymore.”
