GONE truckin’

Or private jetting in the case of our favourite richlister, up-market trucker Lindsay Fox, who has packed up his tartans and taken his band of merry men for a jaunt around the Scottish Highlands.

To be more accurate, the great man is there to chase his favourite drop of Chivas Scotch whisky and touring distilleries to sip a few with ol’ mates. Former Victoria premier Jeff Kennett is understood to have been a late withdrawal from the group who left last Saturday night, while media man Eddie McGuire is understood to have caught up with the party in London as he films a new “high end travel” show. It’s understood Eddie Everywhere will later catch up for drinks in in between his filming commitments, where he will also make time to visiting his son Xander who is currently studying at St Andrews in Scotland.

A belated birthday trip of sorts, the Fox dynasty patriarch has packed the Bombardier Global 6500 private jet with his nearest and dearest, including sons, Avalon airport boss David Fox and Linfox managing director Andrew Fox, as well as property developer Michael Gannon and a few others.

One of the Fox party regulars we are told will not be attending is former Victorian Premier Dan Andrews, who likes a drop of the good stuff.

Fox is known for his extravagant parties, from his 80th conception party, with 450 or so “first mates” aboard a $200,000 a day love boat in the Mediterranean.

The cruise finished with literal fireworks, provided by iron lady turned cattle queen Gina Rinehart.

Last year it was a men’s only affair, with captains of industry donning the tartans and kilts at the NGV where has donated more than $100 million.

It was anchors aweigh again celebrating his 85th milestone, with a 12-day cruise from New York in 2022.

But not before a private viewing of Broadway musical Moulin Rouge in New York, gifted from his good mate Jayco caravan king Gerry Ryan.

Page 13 chatted to a roll call of politicians, sporting types and bigwigs in tartan for the trucking magnate’s birthday bash at the Linfox airport hangar earlier this year.

We’ve said it before and we will say it again, keep on truckin’ Lindsay!
