Bec Judd has hit out at paparazzi following a six-week hiatus from social media.
The businesswoman and mum of four took a break from posting to her 760,000 Instagram followers while she was working and travelling in Europe.
When asked by a fan why she had gone silent, Judd said it was due to “privacy and security” reasons.
“A mix of secret work stuff and also for privacy and security reasons,” she said.
“I hate papps. I hate being followed.
“I hate reading clickbait and fake news about me and so I just wanted to chill and enjoy myself and not deal with all the intrusive crap for a few weeks.”
Judd said she learnt the “hard way” in the past when she posted holiday snaps in real time while she was away.
“After learning the hard way, now I know never to post while I’m on holiday and save it for when I get home,” she said.
Another fan speculated that Judd was filming The Amazing Race.
“Maybe. Maybe not,” she replied.
“I was lucky enough to both work and fit in a holiday at the end with my family so feeling very lucky.”
Judd and her sister, Kate Twigley, will compete on the first Australian celebrity version of the competition.
It’s unclear when the show will go to air.
