Exclusive: Nadia Bartel is quietly returning to the fashion world in the wake of her white powder scandal.
The mega WAG and influencer, 36, is launching the new season collection for her clothing brand, Henne.
It is the first major business move Bartel has made since she was fined $5000-plus for her lockdown party breach in September, in which she was filmed with a white powdered substance in a leaked video.
Though Bartel does not appear in the campaign, the new Henne range is, quite fittingly, titled “A Return To Light” and themed around a “transeasonal wardrobe”.
The latest pieces include the “Esme” dress and top which are “constructed from thick luxe rib fabrication”, to be released via Henne’s website on Wednesday at 7pm.
Since the leaked video incident, Bartel has kept a decidely low profile. She has not returned to Instagram (where she has 566,000 followers) or been featured in any posts for Henne – the fashion brand she remains at the helm of – or Spray Aus, the self-tanning business she co-owns with Rebecca Judd.
In a statement released on September 3, Bartel said she was “embarrassed” and “remorseful” about her actions.
“I have let you all down by my actions,” the influencer and designer wrote on Instagram.
“I take full responsibility and I am committed to taking all necessary steps to ensure I make better choices in future. To my family and friends, my business partners and the public health workers trying to keep us all safe, I am embarrassed and remorseful.
“I am truly and deeply sorry. I hope I can earn your forgiveness and, in time, your trust. Nadia.”
The mother-of-two launched Henne – a line of elevated, classic wardrobe staples – in 2019, which for Bartel was a lifelong ambition.
She is frequently spotted in her own designs, which often sell out within hours of their launch.
Bartel is one of Australia’s most high-profile WAGs and – in the days prior to the white powder controversy – had finalised her divorce from ex-husband, former Geelong star Jimmy Bartel.
The incident caused Bartel to lose lucrative influencer endorsements with brands including JSHealth Vitamins and Hairhouse Warehouse, who publicly cut ties with her.
