Ministers and senior officer holders are set to be grilled for a third time over the government’s COVID-19 response, with Emergency Management Commissioner Andrew Crisp likely to be recalled for evidence.
It comes after Mr Crisp last week retracted information he had given to the parliament's Public Accounts and Estimate Committee in August.
In a letter, he said that he did not brief Police Minister Lisa Neville on the process of setting up hotel quarantine as he had initially indicated.
Its understood the committee is working to set up a third round of hearings in November probing the government’s handling of the pandemic.
Submissions for the COVID-19 inquiry have been extended until November 30.
They are expected to focus largely on members of government, the public service and office holders rather than previous sessions which have also heard from the private sector and community groups.
Mr Crisp is likely to be recalled to clarify his evidence and face further questioning.
The November start date would also allow PAEC to consider the findings of Justice Coate’s report into the hotel quarantine program before interviewing witnesses.
