PROBYN, THE PLANT AND THE FAKE BULLYING
The ABC's political editor apparently faked his one example of alleged Liberal bullying: "In the ABC’s dramatisation, the person, wearing a suit and tie, portrays a male Liberal MP demanding a female MP sign a petition." In fact: "Scott Morrison says... senator Lucy Gichuhi has told him she was not bullied by anyone in Canberra."
The ABC's political editor apparently faked his one example of alleged Liberal bullying:
The ABC has refused to clarify for two days whether its top political editor posed as a bullying MP in a staged re-enactment of the treatment of female Liberal MPs during the leadership turmoil in Canberra.
Mystery surrounds the identity of the person — possibly the ABC political editor Andrew Probyn — who appears in the scene with his face obscured by objects, including an office pot plant.
In the ABC’s dramatisation, the person, wearing a suit and tie, portrays a male Liberal MP demanding a female MP sign a petition that would pave the way for a second leadership spill.
In fact, not one female Liberal MP has yet publicly given a single example of this alleged bullying:
Scott Morrison says... senator Lucy Gichuhi has told him she was not bullied by anyone in Canberra...
Morrison told the ABC on Tuesday night the South Australian senator “told me very plainly that she was not bullied by anybody here in Canberra” during the leadership contest.
I have never seen a story pushed so hard on zero real evidence.
