BARNABY BLASTS TURNBULL: "INEPT"
Barnaby Joyce has blasted Malcolm Turnbull, saying the Prime Minister's comments yesterday caused "further harm" to his wife and family. " I believe they were in many instances inept, and most definitely in many instances unnecessary." He also said the PM's attempt to get him to quit "just locks people behind the leader".
Barnaby Joyce has attacked Malcolm Turnbull for trashing him yesterday, saying the Prime Minister's comments have caused further harm to his wife and family. "They [the comments] caused further harm. I believe they were in many instances inept, and most definitely in many instances unnecessary."
Turnbull had just "once more pulled the scab off" and caused hurt.
Joyce also told Turnbull that his attempt to blast him out of the leadership of the Nationals and, thus, out of the office of the Deputy Prime Minister, had backfired:
There is nothing we dislike more than implied intervention into the party processes of the Nationals Party... We make our own decisions, esepcially around those who are the office holders. Far from assisting ... it locks people in behind the leader.
Wow.
We now have a Prime Minister who has urged his Deputy Prime Minister to consider resigning over his "shocking" behavior, and a Deputy Prime Minister who says his Prime Minsiter is "inept".
