Inside the courtroom: Mushroom cook Erin Patterson faces court for day 2 of murder trial
It’s been almost two years since the lethal mushroom lunch that claimed the lives of three people. Today, the cook Erin Patterson faced court for the second day of the trial gripping the world.
The trial of Erin Patterson is underway at the Supreme Court in Morwell.
Erin had welcomed her estranged husband’s parents Don and Gail Patterson and his aunt and uncle Heather and Ian Wilkinson to her home for a beef wellington meal on July 29, 2023.
After attending the lunch at her Leongatha home in Victoria’s southeast, three of the guests died over the following days from death cap mushroom poisoning.
Ms Patterson, 50, has pleaded not guilty to the murders of Don, Gail and Heather.
She has also pleaded not guilty to the attempted murder of Ian.
