Goodie appeared in the Southport Magistrates Court on Wednesday charged with robbery and two counts of assault occasioning bodily harm.
Magistrate Gary Finger denied him bail.
“These people have parked their car on the side of the road and this bloke gets in their car and thumps them both,” he said.
Duty lawyer Ross Oden said Goodie worked in the mines and the next work cycle was due to start early in the new year.
He said Goodie would be contesting the allegations.
The matter will return to court on January 7.
