In documents tendered to the court, police say they found the videos on Kratzmann’s phone on May 23 last year while they investigated the alleged murder of Brisbane man Cian English. The phone was seized in a unit of the View Pacific Resort in Surfers Paradise.

It is alleged Mr English, 19, died after falling from a Surfers Paradise balcony.

Three men have been charged with Mr English’s murder. They are still before the courts.

Between 9pm on May 20 and 2am on May 21, Kratzmann broke into a Bethania home and stole a number of items, including a black Mazda 3, air pods and a PS4 gaming console.

About 2.38am on May 21, the black Mazda 3 was spotted on CCTV outside the Terry White Chemist in Yarrabilba as two offenders smashed the glass panel with a concrete block and stole prescription drugs, perfumes and cologne.

At 3.50 and 4.15 that morning, a Maudsland pharmacy and Amcal pharmacy at Ormeau were broken into. Prescription drugs were stolen from both.

Police allege Kratzmann was wearing the same clothes seen in the video footage bragging about the break-ins inside the View Pacific Resort unit.

Another video showed him with a “large mountain of prescription drug boxes and bottles”.

Kratzmann was also captured, after jumping up in front of the drugs, saying “I rob chemists”.

Police also found Kratzmann’s blood inside one of the chemists and the black Mazda.

Kratzmann was also sentenced for assaulting a girlfriend after an argument by kicking her and pushing her down a set of stairs.

Magistrate Louisa Pink sentenced him to 18 months in prison, wholly suspended, but noted Kratzmann had other matters to answer for.

“It’s an unusual pattern of offending because the only history I have for you is relatively minor,” she said.

The court was told Kratzmann, who has been in custody since May 24 last year, had previously done paid work as a rapper.

He was diagnosed with schizophrenia in 2019.
