Four teens – one aged just 13 years – have been charged after allegedly stealing two cars in Brisbane before taking them for a joy ride to the Gold Coast.

FOUR teens – one aged just 13 years – have been charged after allegedly stealing two cars in Brisbane before taking them for a joy ride to the Gold Coast.
A 13-year-old boy, a 14-year-old boy and a 16-year-old girl were arrested on Ellen St, Southport about 3.45pm after being tracked down by the police dog squad and helicopter.

An 18-year-old Woodridge woman was later arrested in connection to the incident.
A Queensland Police spokeswoman said a white BMW and a Dodge were taken from a residential address in Cleveland in the early hours of Sunday morning.
The cars were located in Southport and the group were arrested after fleeing only a short distance.
An eighteen year-old woman has been charged with operation of a vehicle, unlawful use of a motor vehicle, and failing to comply with requirements of a learner driver.
She’s due to appear in Southport Magistrates Court on February 19.
A 16-year-old Woodridge girl was charged with unlawful use of a motor vehicle and possessing a knife in a public place, while a 14-year-old Labrador boy was charged with dangerous operation of vehicle, unlawful use of a motor vehicle and unlicensed driving.
Both were denied police bail and are expected to appear in Southport Children’s Court.
A 13-year-old boy was also charged with unlawful use of a motor vehicle and possessing a knife in a public place and was dealt with under the Youth Justice Act.
