Burleigh Heads assault: Police looking to speak with two men

Police are seeking to trace these two men who they believe could assist them with their investigations into a serious assault on the Gold Coast.

QUEENSLAND Police are asking the public to help identify two men who may be able to assist with their investigation into a serious assault in Burleigh last month.

The incident between two groups, resulting in a 21-year-old Southport man being punched in the head, occurred around 11.30pm on August 13.

The man was treated by paramedics at the scene and was taken to Robina Hospital with head injuries after being knocked to the ground unconscious by the blow.

He has since been released.

It is believed the two groups involved in the altercation in a Burleigh Heads underground car park on the Gold Coast Highway are not known to each other.

Police are urging anyone who may know the two men depicted in the photo, or anyone who may have information in relation to the incident, to contact them at www.police.qld.gov.au/reporting or call 131 444.
