Rivea Italian has announced the Broadbeach restaurant is shutting its doors permanently.
However, in a post on social media, the eatery said it will have an “exciting new location in 2022”.
“We have decided not to re-open Rivea Italian at its current location in Broadbeach,” the post said.
“The end of our lease was coming up soon, so we’ve decided to pass the location onto someone else who we are sure will create an exciting new concept for all to enjoy.”
GOLD COAST’S MOST SURPRISING RESTAURANT TRANSFORMATIONS
The Ridgeway Group-owned restaurant, run by Daniel and Ruggie Ridgeway, closed Rivea in March after trying to battle through the COVID-19 crisis with a takeaway initiative.
The group also own dining institutions Gotham and Little Truffle.
It’s not the first time Rivea has moved, relocating from Pacific Fair to the Surf Parade location in 2018.
