A woman has been accused of drink driving after a wild crash at Southport.

A woman has been charged with drink driving after losing control of a car and crashing onto a median strip, taking out fencing and a speed sign.
Gold Coast police were called to Olsen Ave at Parkwood “after a vehicle crashed into fencing and a speed sign on a median strip” about 2.30am, according to a statement.
It’s alleged the woman was driving while over the legal road alcohol limit.
Photos of the scene show significant damage to the front of the car and a “60” speed limit sign badly bent and resting on the concrete.
The woman behind the wheel, a 49-year-old, was not injured in the crash, but was assessed by Queensland Ambulance paramedics.
Police have now charged the woman with did drive UIL (under the influence of liquor).
She is expected to face Southport Magistrates Court on November 28.
