Three men have been charged over an alleged joy ride in a stolen luxury car after they were tracked down by a police dog.

Three men have been charged over an alleged joy ride in a stolen luxury car after they were tracked down by a police dog.
Police pursued the men in an allegedly stolen 2008 BMW 118L on Wednesday night after receiving reports it was driving dangerously and erratically through Carrara and surrounding suburbs.
Tire spikes were used to stop the car, which was abandoned in parkland near Carrara’s Nielsens Road.
Police dog Raptor and is handler tracked three of the five people who were in the vehicle around 200 metres from where it was abandoned.
It is alleged the car was stolen from the carpark of Pacific Fair around 4am on Wednesday.
A Gold Coast Police spokesperson said the car was unsecured with the keys inside when it was stolen.
One man was arrested in the middle of an oval, while another was found hiding in bushes off Alison Road.
The third man was arrested 50m away while walking near the intersection of John Monroe Court.
A 25-year-old Southport man was charged with one count of unlawful use of motor vehicle.
He was denied police bail and will appear in Southport Magistrates court on Thursday.
An 18-year-old Nerang man was charged with one count of unlawful use of motor vehicle.
He was granted police bail and will appear in Southport Magistrates Court on August 30.
A 22-year-old man from Southport was charged with one count each of unlawful use of motor vehicle and breaching bail.
He was denied police bail and will appear in Southport Magistrates Court on Thursday
Police are still searching for the two people who were understood to be in the car- a man and woman in their 20s.
