Police have launched investigations after a woman was killed in a ute rollover in a rural Gold Coast suburb.

The red Mitsubishi Triton was travelling into the intersection of Beaudesert Nerang Rd and Clagiraba Rd at Clagiraba “before the vehicle lost control and rolled” just before 5pm on Friday.

The driver of the ute, a 48-year-old Banora Point woman, was taken to Gold Coast University Hospital in a critical condition, but was later declared dead, according to Queensland Police.

A 47-year-old man and a 15-year-old girl who were also in the ute suffered minor injuries and were taken to the hospital for treatment.

The Forensic Crash Unit has been investigating the crash.

Police have urged witnesses or anyone with dashcam vision to phone Policelink on 131 444.

*Queensland Police Service initially advised the woman who died in the crash was a 48-year-old Tallebudgera woman. She was from Banora Point.
