Police have responded to an apparent road rage incident on the Gold Coast in which a car was boxed in by three other vehicles.
It was reported that a black ute, was run off the road at Smith St just east of the intersection of Village Boulevard as a result of the incident, which took place at about 7.15pm on Saturday.
Eight cars pulled over and a large group of people gathered on the side of the road at the scene of the incident.
A Queensland Police Service spokesman said three crews attended the incident and spoke with the people at the scene.
There was no official complaint made, and officers directed those at the scene to move on, the spokesman said.
The Bulletin understands three vehicles had boxed in the ute before it left the road.
Nobody was injured and there did not appear to be major damage to any of the vehicles involved.
The incident occurred at the same junction a 21-year-old male pedestrian tragically lost his life after being hit by a car at 11.10pm on Friday.
