Four more teens arrested over horror Palm Beach attack

Police have made multiple arrests after a horrific attack in Palm Beach that left three boys injured and robbed of shoes. Full details.

Police have arrested a further four teenagers in relation to the assault and robbery of three boys at Palm Beach in an incident that was captured in a disturbing video that circulated on social media.

A 15-year-old Elanora boy was punched in the nose and had a leg broken while a 15-year-old Burleigh Heads boy was left with facial injuries after a group of males approached a gathering of teenagers on the beach near Pirate Park.

Both boys had their Nike shoes stolen and were taken to Gold Coast University Hospital for treatment.

About an hour later a third 15-year-old boy suffered bruising and also had his Nikes stolen.

Police initially arrested a 15-year-old Worongary boy and 13-year-old Mudgeeraba boy in who were both dealt with under provisions of the Youth Justices Act, as well as a 17-year-old Southport boy who was subsequently charged with one count each of grievous bodily harm, robbery in company and stealing.

They have now revealed that a further four teenagers have also been arrested in relation to the incident – bringing the total number arrested to seven.

On June 17 a 16-year-old Reedy Creek boy was arrested and charged with one count of robbery with violence whilst in company.

On July 2, police arrested a 15-year-old Tallai boy who was subsequently charged with one count of robbery with violence whilst in company.

Both were dealt with under provisions of the Youth Justices Act.

On July 4, police arrested a 14-year-old Southport who was also subsequently charged with one count of robbery with violence whilst in company.

And on July 6 police arrested a 15-year-old Bundall boy at Surfers Paradise. He has now been charged with two counts of robbery with violence whilst in company and one count of grievous bodily harm.

Both are scheduled to appear at the Southport Children’s Court at a later date.

Police said their investigations are continuing and they again appealed with anyone with further information about the incident to come forward.
