A Gold Coast nurse charged with stealing medication from the aged care facility she worked at is banned from practising.
Laura Eveline Nicholson was last month slapped with the interim prohibition order from the Health Ombudsman, which states she currently does not have approval to practise at any employment or location.
The ban comes months after the 45-year-old was charged with stealing by clerks and servants and forgery.
It is alleged Ms Nicholson stole opiate medication Endone from Labrador’s Ozcare Parkwood Gardens Aged Care Facility in March last year, where she was employed as a registered nurse.
She is also charged with forging her workplace’s Schedule 8 drug disposal registry the same day.
It was noted on Ms Nicholson’s court file at the latest mention that her case was due to proceed to sentence on March 11. No pleas have been formally entered.
Ms Nicholson remains on bail.
