A community leader has expressed their disgust after racist flyers were distributed to homes on the Gold Coast, saying the twisted ideology had no place in the city.

A community leader says extremist views have “no place” on the Gold Coast after white supremacist flyers were distributed to properties in the Labrador, Southport and Biggera Waters areas.

Multiple residents reported receiving the flyers, which are pitched as an appeal to ‘white Australians’.

The group named in the flyers is linked to notorious neo-Nazi organisations which are based in Melbourne.

The same flyer has reportedly delivered to homes in several parts of Australia in the last year.

Division 7 council candidate Jenna Schroeder, who also moderates the Labrador 4215 Facebook page, said the “extremely offensive and discriminatory” flyers had no place in the city.

“I am disgusted that this material has been produced and distributed. There is no place for it in our community,” Ms Schroeder said.

“Labrador is a multicultural community and we won’t be sharing the offensive material and giving it any more exposure. Since founding Labrador 4215 seven years ago, I have always been committed to promoting a safe and inclusive community for all residents.”

Ms Schroeder said the group had shared information with police about the distribution of the flyers.

“Our volunteer moderators are working with police and the anti-terrorism unit to provide information on the addresses this flyer was sent to in our area,” she said.

It is not the first time the group has targeted the Southport area, with racist flyers also delivered to units at the Smith Collective in November last year.

In October the state government passed new laws designed to clamp down on hate crimes.

The legislation banned the public display, distribution or publication of prohibited hate symbols.
