Police are investigating a suspicious crash in which a Peugeot hit two parked cars

Police are searching for a driver involved in a serious crash on the Gold Coast overnight. Read what happened

A car has crashed into two parked vehicle before rolling on to its roof during a wild crash in Southport overnight.

The incident happened about 8.20pm on Thursday at the intersection of Shaw and Mason streets, a Queensland Fire and Emergency Services spokeswoman said.

The spokeswoman said it was initially reported that one person was trapped inside the rolled Peugeot.

However, no one was found inside the vehicle when emergency services arrived.

A Queensland Police Service spokeswoman said officers were still searching for a driver involved in the incident.

They are appealing for anyone with CCTV, dashcam footage, or who may have witnessed the incident to contact Crime Stoppers.

The car involved in the crash was not reported as stolen.
