A teen gang ram raided the Ormeau Village Shopping Centre and stolen an ATM in the early hours of Wednesday morning.
Police have set up crime scene and forensics are collecting evidence at the address on Eggersdorf Road.
Police sources told the Bulletin it was believed a group of teenagers used an angle grinder to cut loose bollards at the entrance to the centre before driving a stolen vehicle through the front glass sliding doors.
They then smashed the ATM to pieces and took off with the money from inside.
The centre opened as usual on Wednesday with tape marking off the shattered front entrance and the pile of debris left behind.
It’s the third time the same shopping centre has been targeted in the space of a month, police sources said.
