Nerang fatal: Motorcyclist killed in horror truck crash

A Carrara man has been confirmed dead after colliding with a truck on the Gold Coast. Find out what happened.

A Gold Coast man has been killed in a horror two-vehicle crash at Nerang.

Initial investigations suggest a motorcycle was travelling westbound along Hope St at about 1.30pm Friday, when it collided with a truck.

The motorcyclist, a 39-year-old Carrara man, suffered critical injuries and died at the scene.

The 44-year-old truck driver was uninjured.

Police are calling for witnesses or anyone with dashcam vision of the collision to come forward.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the incident.

It comes less than a week after a 58-year-old Southport man was killed in a motorcycle crash on the Mount Lindsay Highway.
