The mother of Mongols bikie Harley Barbaro has claimed in court she is “terrorised” by her neighbour in the latest escalation of the pair’s long-running feud.

Eva Brigitte, formerly Barbaro, and her neighbour Juanita Garcia appeared in Southport Magistrates Court on Monday.

Ms Garcia has filed a peace and good behaviour order application against Ms Brigitte, claiming she would need to defend herself against the “harassment and invasion of privacy” committed by her neighbour and Mr Barbaro.

She said the alleged incidents had ramped up in the past six months.

“The acts of violence that Ms Brigitte and her family are committing upon me and my son are just increasing in severity,” Ms Garcia told the court.

“The police have informed me that I have to 100 per cent take out an order ... I was told it’s to stop her procuring somebody else to commit acts of violence against me.”

Mr Barbaro was charged with wilful damage last month after allegedly tearing down a piece of plywood and timber posts belonging to Ms Garcia. The Bulletin has previously revealed the neighbours each had cameras erected in the other’s direction.

All allegations of violence were refuted by Ms Brigitte, who claimed she and her family were the ones who had been “terrorised” for more than a year.

She listed dozens of allegations in court, ranging from physical and verbal assaults to trespassing and defamatory social media posts.

“Her application today is retaliatory - she is using my former name (of Barbaro) in the application in malicious intent,” Ms Brigitte said.

“She has been voicing in the neighbourhood saying she will expose me on (TV), saying soon everyone will know everything.”

The court heard Ms Brigitte was last year granted a peace and good behaviour order against Ms Garcia, which is since alleged to have been breached.

Ms Garcia said she would face court in March in relation to the three “apparent breaches”, and was now appealing the existing order.

Neither woman would speak to reporters upon leaving the courthouse, with Ms Brigitte and her supporter covering their faces.

The matter is due to proceed to hearing in June.
