A man was left with fractured eye-socket and internal bleeding after he was repeatedly punched in the head in the middle of a Gold Coast street.
The 30-year-old was crossing Scarborough Street near a fast-shop about 1am on September 28 when he was nearly hit by a passing white hatchback.
A man and woman got out of the car and started arguing with him.
That is when the man from the car attacked – punching the victim in the head multiple times.
The couple fled in the car.
The victim was found by a passer-by who called paramedics. They took him to Gold Coast University Hospital where he underwent surgery.
Police have now released footage of the white Holden Viva on the night of the attack.
