A Helensvale man has been charged with driving offences after allegedly ploughing a luxury vehicle into two parked cars on a suburban Gold Coast street – sending one of them through a fence.
Emergency services were called to Monterey Keys Drive at around 10.15am after reports of a driver ramming into two vehicles.
Police will allege the 39-year-old male drove his black Audi into a four-wheel drive and a ute near Parkgate Street. The ute was sent careening into a fence by the force of the impact.
No one was seriously injured in the incident and the car was towed from the scene at 12.04pm.
One lane was closed while emergency services dealt with the incident, which a local described as “very scary”.
The driver has been issued a notice to appear and has been charged with driving with a disqualified license and careless driving.
He returned negative drug and alcohol tests.
