A Gold Coast train station kiosk has allegedly been robbed and a worker threatened during a brazen Boxing Day attack.
Police were called to the convenience store inside Helensvale station at about 6.20pm on Thursday after a reported disturbance.
A Queensland Police Service (QPS) spokesman said it was alleged a man threatened the kiosk worker and made demands before taking a number of items.
Officers arrived shortly after and the alleged offender was taken into custody within 10 minutes.
A 40-year-old man has been charged with one count each of robbery and stealing.
He’ll face Southport Magistrates Court on January 3.
The worker was not physically injured during the incident.
