Gold Coast residents have fallen victim to a “frustrating” viral challenge on the TikTok online platform, prompting police to warn those involved could be breaking the law.
Parkwood resident Prajwal Timalsena shared security camera vision to Facebook showing two young boys loudly kicking his garage door about 10pm Monday.
He described the incident as “extremely frustrating”.
The footage shows the two boys kicking the door twice while one filmed it on his phone.
The “Door Kick Challenge,” which involves thumping, synchronized kicks to the beat of a popular Kesha song, has been trending on the TikTok video sharing app in the past couple of months.
Police said they weren’t aware of any other incidents involving the challenge on the Gold Coast.
They warned the activity could result in a criminal offence.
“It could easily be considered trespassing as well as other offences if damage is caused to property,” a police spokeswoman said.
