A driver who allegedly crashed into a parked car on the Gold Coast has been issued a near$1200 fine by police.
Officer were called to Roe Street, Upper Coomera about 8.30pm on Saturday where a Hyundai i30 had slammed into a parked Nissan X-Trail, a Queensland Police Service (QPS) spokeswoman said.
Both vehicle sustained minor damage from the traffic crash.
Police breath tested the driver at the scene.
Following inquiries police issued a 33-year-old Logan woman with a $1161 Traffic Infringement Notice for driving while using a mobile phone, the QPS spokeswoman said.
The Hyundai and Nissan were towed from Upper Coomera crash scene on Saturday night.
Police inquiries are continuing.
