A gang are on the run from police after another Gold Coast tobacconist was targeted in the early hours on Monday morning.
Police were called to the business at Paradise Point about 3am on Monday after the break and enter.
Gold Coast Acting Superintendent Michelle Piket said: “Three unknown suspects used a tool to force entry to the Grice Avenue business. Once inside, they took an unknown amount of tobacco products and the till.”
The offenders were seen leaving in a black hatchback, which hasn’t been identified by investigators at this stage.
Acting Supt Piket said police don’t believe the vehicle or offenders were involved in any other break-and-enter offences in recent days.
“Investigations are ongoing and we’re seeking anyone who may have dash cam footage around that time to get in contact with us if they believe they have something captured,” she said.
It’s believed the offenders gained entry through the rear of the premises by damaging a lock and forcing a door open.
