Harvey Norman under-17s

Outside backs

Tweed coach Veronica White said while her outside backs only have limited experience at rep level, the players have shown positive signs of improvement throughout the pre-season.

Lacey Pedlow

“She plays dummy half as well, she’s got good vision in her passing and puts her body on the line when it comes to defence,” White said.

Eadee Damro

“She is coming through the Titans under-15 academy at the moment,” White said.

“Playing in the centres but she can play second row, defensively she is really strong, when taking the ball out of our own she doesn’t take a backward step.”

Lacey McClaren

“A state schoolgirls rep, she was selected on the wing in the state team but has found her own in the fullback role,” White said.

Jaliriah Glenbar

“From Keebra State High, she is a good attacking player and when she gets into space she can be illusive,” she said.

Nia Brooks

“Usually plays second row but playing outside back, she is strong in defence,” White said.

Taharnee Burns

“A state sprinting champion, when she gets into space, she is very hard to track down, so hoping she can make an impact,” White said.

Molly Benjamin

“Confident under the high ball, she’s fast and pretty quick on her feet as well,” White said.

Jorja Hanson

“One of our wingers, she’s new to the sport, particularly at this level,” White said.

Dakota Smith

The Nerang Roosters junior is at home on the wing, helping the Roosters to a grand final berth in the South East U17 Girls Community North competition in 2024.

Halves

Torah Luadaka

“A state rep as well, played the fullback position but more versatile in the half role,” she said.

“Pretty good at

Ayla Peters

“She’ll switch with Iris (Skeen) who also plays in the fullback position,” White said.

“Not scared to take on the line but she is still learning the craft and she is good defensively.”

Iris Skeen

“The back up five-eighth who is pretty good and plays second row and centre as well,” she said.

Hookers

Diamond Graham

“She’s really come a long way in 12 months,” White said.

“Really leading by example, taking the initiative and does an amazing amount of defensive work.”

Rhianna Browning

Browning joins the side after lining up for the Northern Rivers Titans in Lisa Fiaola Regional Cup.

Forwards

Taylor Kolc

“Sort of similar (to the other forwards), all workhorses learning where they need to be on the field,” she said.

“They will develop with experience as they learn with the particular matches.”

Avalon Price

“She is currently playing in the New South Wales comp and is probably back in round 3, she is solid as well,” White said.

Cienna Dumas and Summah Ryan

“They are really solid in defence, both workhorses - particularly Summah defensively,” White said.

“Cienna is quite illusive in attack and gets off the mark well.”

Affrica-Jade Hippi

“She’s the lock, along the lines of Diamond, has come a long way in the last 12 months but working hard to build on her conditioning on the areas which were holding here back.” White said.

Mercedez Lisone-Siaea

Was one of the standout performers for the Dragons in the Lisa Fiaola Cup in 2024, earning the Players’ Player of the Year award for her side.

Jessica Cropp

Cropp is one of the back up front rows who brings a burst of energy off the bench.

Milla Rogers

A dual sport star who has excelled in netball and rugby league.

She has made several rep sides across the two codes and is an elite talent with a bright future arenas.

Sophia Siulepa

Siulepa is a key member of the front row and a workhorse.

Rhani Slockee

A Tweed Seagulls junior who featured for the Queensland under-16 girls’ Murri Carnival side in 2024.

Taylor Kolc

Harvey Norman under-19s

Outside backs

Skylah Samson

A smart fullback with speed to burn, Sampson is contracted with the Gold Coast Titans and starred for Keebra Park State High School last year in the National Schoolgirl Cup.

She is making the step up at under-19 level after featuring for the exciting under-17 side last year.

Joshalynn Walker

Walker is a versatile talent who can cover all backline positions and break open a game in an instant with her burst of speed.

She was one of the standout young guns of her age group as she earned a New South Wales Country call-up for the City v Country game last year.

Ava Kanikinilau

A solid runner who is a weapon in attack and defence.

Summer Barton

Barton is a speedy winger who is a reliable presence under the high ball.

She was also a member of the New South Wales Combined Catholic Colleges squad which competed at the Australian Second Schools Rugby League National Championships.

Shelera and Shaniqua Williams

The Williams twins bring rapid speed and although they are league rookies, their potential is sky-high.

They are proven elite athletes, having represented New South Wales at the Hockey Australia Under-18 Championships last year.

Claire Cropp

Cropp is a talented winger who is a perennial threat with her strength and speed.

Halves

Yamun-Ginda Kelly

While she may be in the process of recovering from a broken collarbone, there is no denying that Kelly has a bright future ahead of her.

Roberts-Hickling brings elite level experience from Rugby Sevens, after she represented the Australian Schoolgirls team late last year.

Hickling brings plenty of speed and keeps the opposition on its toes with her elusive movement.

Croyston boasts impressive game IQ around the ruck and can be relied upon to make the right decisions out of dummy half.

Browning is a leader in the front row and is only improving with the impressive talent around her in the forward pack this year.

A versatile talent who can fill any role in the forward pack effectively.

Tedashi Cora

Cora is a weapon with the ball and is constantly improving her game.

Amity Burke

The Seagulls were without Burke for most of the pre-season but she has made her mark when called upon.

Back row and locks

Grace Maxwell

Maxwell organises the troops effectively and is tough as nails.

Sienna Smith

Smith takes the reign as captain and her leadership will be vital in the forward pack.

She leads by example with strong aggression in defence and attack.

Martina Williams

Williams is new to the competition but has already given Tweed coach Anthony Swain plenty of reasons to be excited thanks to her abundance of talent and eagerness to improve.

Kiara Wright

Wright is returning from an extended injury lay-off but has already reminded the Seagulls coaching staff why she is an exceptional talent in her short time back.

One of the younger members of the team who has an incredible competitive nature which sets her apart from her rivals.

Hannigan hails from the Northern Rivers and has shown a great work ethic to improve her game.

Smith is a strong runner of the ball who always makes the most of every opportunity which comes her way.
