THE Titans may have struggled in the past couple of years but it’s easy to forget just how good they were in the early years.
The Bulletin has had a go at ranking the 20 best players.
REWIND: THE VERY BEST OF THE LOST TITANS SERIES
Criteria wasn’t just based on ability but what they brought to the side, with those part of winning teams given an edge over others who didn’t enjoy such success.
Today we start with numbers 20-16.
FOOTY TRAGEDY: YOUNG COAST PLAYER PASSES AWAY
20. KEVIN PROCTOR
A big-name signing from the Storm, Proctor was meant to bring a whole new culture to the Titans in 2017.
Instead he was sacked from the co-captaincy over a cocaine scandal in 2018 and while being solid in his 63 games, hasn’t had the impact many would have hoped.
NRL CRISIS COULD DELIVER NRL GUN TO TITANS
19. LUKE DOUGLAS
A hard man to place on this list given he played 117 games from 2012-16 and was always reliable.
However perhaps didn’t have the same skills of others so while popular among fans, is hard to nudge too high.
18. MICHAEL GORDON
Another who would be higher if he had played more than 36 games across two seasons.
Solid and a Tweed junior, the fullback couldn’t help the club slump to the wooden spoon in 2019.

17. JARROD WALLACE
Much like Proctor, arrived with hope of adding a new edge to the pack.
Has done enough in his 64 games to earn an Origin start but his form hasn’t kicked on as many may have hoped.
16. KEVIN GORDON
A tally of 58 tries in 118 games tells you that this winger was, at his best, a star.
Injuries and a desire to chase other dreams ultimately ended his playing days but he can rest easy with what he contributed to the club in the early seasons.
