BURLEIGH have been forced into a last-minute change for tomorrow’s pre-season trials against Easts, with the four-game program moved from Coomera to Pizzey Park.
Stepping out for the first time this season, the Bears’ under-18s (3pm), under-20s (4.30pm) and Intrust Super Cup (7pm) sides will tackle the Tigers at Burleigh after originally being slated to meet at the Cutters’ Ford Road headquarters.
WHY SPRY IS DETERMINED FOR NINES SUCCESS
A three-way clash between the Titans’ under-15 academy teams – Gold Coast, Northern Rivers and Logan - will kick off at 1pm.
While Burleigh’s ISC side will be filled largely by fringe players, the game will mark the return of former Titans-contracted five-eighth Dallas Wells.
The New Zealand-born 25-year-old, who was on Gold Coast’s books in 2018, is on the comeback from a knee reconstruction and could form a potent halves combination with Jamal Fogarty for the defending premiers this season.
SEAGULLS SWOOP ON FORMER NRL FLYER
Fresh off an opening trial win over a young Titans outfit last weekend, Tweed’s ISC side will play Souths Logan at Tugun at 3.30pm today.
The Seagulls’ under-18s kick off at 12.30pm before the under-20s game at 2pm.
