IS MATT JOHNS HEADING TO TITANS?
2007 — The Titans were welcomed to the NRL with a 50-6 reality check by the Storm in their Round 25 clash in Melbourne in their first year in the league.
Slater was one of nine Storm players to score that day including former Storm favourites Israel Folau and Greg Inglis.
2011- It was a bad year for the Titans, with their 6-18 record handing them the NRL wooden spoon. Melbourne belted the Gold Coast twice, winning 40-12 in Melbourne in Round 2 and 40-16 at Robina in Round 23, with Slater scoring doubles in each game.
2012 — Slater again punished the Titans in 2012, scoring a double in the Storm’s 30-6 Round 3 win at Robina before crossing again in their 24-16 victory in Melbourne in Round 23.
2013 — Slater helped the Storm pinch the Round 26 win in Melbourne from the Titans by a single point with his double in the 23-22 win.
2017 — Shoulder injuries kept Slater out of clashes against the Gold Coast in 2015 and 2016 and while he crossed in the Round 10 clash at Suncorp Stadium, he could not prevent the Storm from losing a thriller 38-36 in the first leg of the NRL double-header.
