While both teams rode five-game winning streaks into this afternoon’s battle, the hosts appeared on track for six-straight when they took a 15-3 lead into halftime.

But TSS refused to surrender in pursuit of their first title since 2017, with last year’s runners-up fighting back to 20-20 before a last-ditch penalty goal secured a 23-20 victory.

Wins over Gregory Terrace (away) and Ipswich Grammar (home) in their final two fixtures will now deliver the crown to TSS.
