BRODIE PHELAN (SURFERS PARADISE BLUE)

After taking 4-11 from five overs as Mudgeeraba Nerang were bowled out for 44, Surfers under-14 all-rounder Phelan then retired not out with 20 runs from 47 balls as the Demons reached 1-170 at stumps on Saturday.

HUNTER ALLEN (PALM BEACH MAROON)

Playing for Palm Beach in Cricket Gold Coast’s under-11 south competition, Allen starred with 5-13 on Saturday to lead his side to victory against Dolphins.

Allen’s four-over demolition job helped restrict the Dolphins to 12-114, with Palm Beach finishing 5-196 in reply.

AIDAN HENDERSON (PALM BEACH CURRUMBIN GOLD)

Henderson’s haul of 5-24 from 11 overs steered the Lions to a 58-run win over Colts in CGC’s under-17 competition on Saturday.

Opening the batting, Henderson made just two in Palm Beach’s total of 9-157 but made amends with the ball to help skittle Colts for 99.

‘EVERYONE IS JUST DEVASTATED’ AFTER CRICKETER’S DEATH

SAMUEL HEATHWOOD (SURFERS PARADISE RED)

Heathwood smashed an unbeaten 100 from 105 balls for Surfers’ under-17s on Saturday, but it was not enough to save them from defeat against Mudgeeraba Nerang Blue.

Heathwood took 1-22 from 10 overs in Mudgeeraba’s total of 5-223 before reaching triple figures as the hosts finished 7-207 in their run chase.

DAN MAITLAND (MUDGEERABA NERANG)

Opening the batting, Maitland hit 106 not out from 95 balls to lay the platform for a 99-run victory for Mudgeeraba in their fourth grade battle with Coomera Hope Island on Saturday.

With Maitland on song, the bushmen piled on 3-254 before keeping the Crocs to 8-155.
