NORTHCLIFFE surf life saving club have capped off their remarkable surf life saving season with one last win, taking out the State Pool Rescue Championships at the weekend at the Gold Coast Aquatic Centre.
Northcliffe emerged triumphant on 681 points ahead of Maroochydore on 502 and Currumbin on 452.
The win marks the third straight for pool rescue coach Mel Jackson ever since she came on board in 2017.
“It’s really good to get another win,” she said.
“It was a great weekend for the club.
“We had great participation from our 10-year-olds all the way up to 70-year-olds so it was a club effort.
“We had a lot of stand out performances and also a lot of personal bests.”

The win caps off a near faultless surf life saving season for the club after they took out the Aussies and State Championships pointscores and now add yet another title to their cabinet with their pool rescue win.
“It’s been a great season for the club,” Jackson said.
“It was a good all around effort on the weekend and now we’ll turn our attention to the Aussies in a few weeks time.”
The Australian pool rescue championships commence on August 9.
