The brother of a Wallabies walk-in headlines the round six StoreLocal Hospital Cup club rugby Team of the Week after he scored two tries in University of Queensland’s 51-20 victory over Souths last weekend.

Scrumhalf Flynn McDermott, the brother of Reds co-captain and Wallaby Tate McDermott, scored two five pointers in the Red Heavies 31 point home win on Saturday, one on each side of the half.

At Yoku road, a skirmish unfolded between GPS and Wests with home side GPS moving up to third on the ladder.

The Gallopers pulled away from Wests 36-19, the visitors losing Mason Gordon to the sin bin and then Mosese Dawai late in the second half.

At Crosby Park, Livewire scrumhalf Will Cartwright scored the dagger for Brothers, who won 38-27.

The game was in the balance with the Brethren leading 31-27 on the cusp of time, and of course it was Harry Grant and Cartwright combining to land a telling blow.

The reigning premiers (22 points) had taken No.1 billing on the Hospital Cup ladder, two points in front of Wests (20 points).

See below the top 15 players from round six.
