GRACE Musgrove is in the early stages of a move to the Gold Coast where she hopes to recapture the form that once made her one of the most exciting triathlon prospects in Australia.
Musgrove has spent the past six months training under coach Craig Walton at the Bond University Triathlon Club as she attempts to build her body back into shape.
It follows a difficult few years marred by injury for the 27-year-old who previously worked under former Triathlon Australia coach Jamie Turner in Wollongong.

“She is going pretty well but she has had a lot of injuries so it’s been about managing that stuff and working through it. It’s been a long road,” Walton said.
“She still hasn’t been able to do the workload she was doing a few years ago.
“When she came to me she was doing minimal work so we have to somehow get her back to it so she can race at the top level again.”
Musgrove was a star of the national talent academy in 2013 and got her first taste of the World Triathlon Series, the sport’s top competition, that year in Madrid (37th) and then the grand final in London (12th).
Some solid results in ITU World Cups followed before hitting trouble midway through 2015 and she has struggled to produce her best ever since.
But Walton said he still believed Musgrove could get back to the WTS.
“Grace has done pretty well on the world scene and I think we will get her back there one day,” Walton said.
“That’s the aim, to get her back on the start line but I have got to get her back running well and because she has had so many major injuries it’s such a fine line to how hard you push her.”
Walton continues to attract top level talent, with junior national champions Elliot Roberts, a 17-year-old from Western Australia, and 15-year-old Hervey Bay resident Harry King both joining the Gold Coast-based squad.
