GOLD Coast United’s crippling injury toll continues to wreak havoc on their NPL campaign, with Redlands United last night extending the Surfsiders’ winless run to nine games.
Chasing their first win since beating Brisbane City on June 2, United fell 3-0 to Redlands in their Round 27 battle at the Cleveland Showgrounds.
INJURY ADVERSITY THE MAKING OF YOUNG SHARK
Fielding a host of players from their NPL youth ranks, the visitors only fell behind in the 65th minute when Shuto Kuboyama struck for the Red Devils.
With United pushing for an equaliser, the hosts then put the result beyond doubt with goals from Kuboyama and Connor Mcauley in the dying stages.

The loss takes United’s season record to 10 wins, four draws and 12 losses.
