Basketball is back!
This week sees the return to competitions for Gold Coast Basketball.
Seniors competitions have been taking place all week, with players adhering to new social distancing and COVID requirements.
The GCJBL junior comp returns this Friday and will be interesting to see how it combines with the AFL game that is being held at the same time.

Premier League Wrap up – Tippett returns to the courts:
Meatballs defeated Balls 60-51 with Shaun Gleeson top scoring with 17 points.
Meatballs have brought in a new player with former AFL star Kurt Tippett returning to the Gold Coast basketball courts.
Tippett was a Gold Coast junior representative player that regularly made state teams throughout his junior career.
Gleeson was excited to have his old team mate back on the court, saying ‘He’s still got a fantastic rig, I’m going to have to put some work in the gym now’.
Team Disney defeated Heat 83-57 with young gun Levi Frankland scoring 29 points and Scott MacGregor chiming in with 20 points.
Brotox defeated Dobilas 68-58 with the Brotox having a full squad of 11 players. Brothers Tobias and Flynn Cameron making their return to the courts with strong games.
In the Ladies competition Captain Khaos defeated Bulls 59-45 with Layla Cameron top scoring with 18 points. Fortitude Black defeated Griffith 50-26 with Jade Peacock top scoring with 15 points.
