BULLDOGS BITE BACK TO SET UP SURFERS REMATCH
MUDGEERABA COACH JAMIE BOELEN SAYS:
“I think Surfers has a great bench with lots of depth. Burleigh will be fit and really well organised. Surfers on penalties.”
PALM BEACH COACH BRETT BUDWEE SAYS:
“It will be a tight game but I think Surfers will win in extra time. They’re both quality teams with great strikers but I think surfers will have players on the bench who can come on and win the game late if needed.”
CITY SAVOUR THAT WINNIE FEELING
NERANG COACH DAVE BENIGNO SAYS:
“This weekend should definitely live up to its expectations, with two of the most consistent teams of the season. It will be down to finishing your chances early to get a nose in front and then holding that lead. Anyone’s game, really. Good luck to them both, no-one likes to lose a grand final. I can’t split this one.”
BROADBEACH COACH LEE VERNON SAYS:
“If you’d have asked me two weeks ago, I would have said Burleigh. But after the semi, surfers really dominated with their long ball game so I’ll pick a draw with surfers to win on penalties.”
COLTS COACH REVEALS NEXT CHALLENGE IN 2020
COOMERA COACH STEVE MACDONALD SAYS:
“I honestly can’t call it, I think we may even see extra time. They’ve had some good battles all season and got the two best strikers in the league (Surfers’ Teddy Watson and Burleigh’s Matt Hilton) so it could be a moment of magic from one of them that sneaks it.”
