NORTHCLIFFE duo Cory Hill and Danielle McKenzie have continued their world ski racing domination, this time in Perth.

Just weeks after both took out their respective divisions at the Dragon Run ski race in Hong Kong, the two backed it up in Perth after a long week of racing to win the Shaw and Partners Doctor ski race, taking out $10,000 in the process.

Just a week after finishing fifth in round two of the Nutri-Grain series, McKenzie claimed her first Doctor win in a time of 1:47:16 ahead of training partner Georgia Laird and fellow series athlete Jordan Mercer.

“That last five kilometres, I was just chasing my watch trying to get as fast a time as I could,” the 25-year-old said.

“When you can’t see anyone, you spend a bit of time looking at your watch and the kilometres ticking over.

“I still have a goal of trying to do three minutes 30 for a kilometre and I got pretty close.”

Racing 27km from Rottnest Island to Sorrento Beach in Perth, Hill made it three straight Doctor wins and four in total, crossing the line in a time of 1:35:18 ahead of Nicholas Notten and Sean Rice.

“It was quite hard to do your own thing and peel off to the right but once I did that and got comfortable, it was quite cool to pull in front a bit,” he said.
