IN the latest edition of the Bulletin’s Round Ball Round Up podcast, Burleigh’s Matt Hilton and Colin Phelan talk the Gold Coast Select Team’s looming battle with RWB Adria, the 2019 Premier League and the players they’d love to get to Pizzey Park.
After helping Burleigh reach the Premier League finals, Hilton and Phelan will be captain and coach respectively of the Gold Coast Select Team to face Chicago’s RWB Adria at the Croatian Sports Centre on Tuesday night.

Phelan also weighed in on Football Gold Coast’s decision to reduce next year’s Premier League from 10 teams to eight.

“I don’t like the eight teams, to be honest. There’s obviously cases for it where they say maybe there’s not enough quality around (but) with eight teams, I see more of Lee Vernon than I do of my missus,” Phelan said.
“I was quite happy with the 10 (teams), it wouldn’t bother me if they threw everyone in the pot.”
