BROADBEACH midfielder Megan Kehoe has capped a perfect season after winning the Kate Gleeson Medal for Women’s Premier League Player of the Year.
Having helped the Dolphins complete an unbeaten campaign with victory over Robina City in the September 2 grand final, Kehoe was last night judged the competition’s best at the Football Gold Coast awards night.
She finished on 22 points to top an impressive field that also included Broadbeach teammate Gemma Hicks (19pts), Southport’s Kate Webb (18pts), Coomera’s Nicola Bayer (16pts) and Robina’s Cahlia Tom (13pts).
Kehoe also won the Women’s Premier League Golden Boot after picking up 10 goals, while Dolphins coach Sarah Evans was unsurprisingly named Coach of the Year.
SACKED COACH WITH NOTHING TO PROVE IN NEW ROLE
Webb was Coaches Player of the Year.
In the men’s Premier League, Burleigh striker Matt Hilton and Broadbeach midfielder Shaun Robinson shared the Tony Cecco Medal as MVP.
