Massive hundreds, a bag of six, run chases, week seven had everything you needed as a cricket fan on the Gold Coast.
We looked at the best performances from week seven as we close in on the end of the one day cup for first grade.

Cody Durante – 122* (95)
Round 9, Palm Beach v Runaway Bay – Premier First Grade
Coming in at number four, Durante came in when it was evenly poised at 2-68 but only had one thing in mind, setting a defensive total and taking it to the Runaway Bay bowlers.
Nathan Reardon – 72 (43)
Round 9, Surfers Paradise v Queens – Premier First Grade
With the game reduced to just 30 overs each, Queens were slightly in front when Reardon arrived at the crease at 3-47 but the experience of Reardon turned the game on its head, pushing Surfers into a winning position.
Travis Harker – 76* (90) and 3-9 (4.3)
Round 7, Runaway Bay Colts v Queens – Premier Third Grade
Harker claimed match of the man honours after a dominant display with both bat and ball against Queens. Batting at number five, he came in at 3-35, and helped them to 4-152 before being thrown the ball to wrap up the match.
Blake Benham – 80 (95)
Round 7, Palm Beach v Surfers Paradise – Premier Third Grade
A wicket early brought Benham to the crease and he took his time early to build a solid innings at the back end for Palm Beach, guiding them to 6-167 from their 40 overs.
Luke Denham – 70 (76)
Round 7, Surfers Paradise v Palm Beach – Premier Third Grade
With Surfers Paradise looking to silence the critics after the club made international headlines, Denham stood up coming in at number four and ensured his side would bounce back to win their first game of the season.
Matthew Johnson – 128* (83)
Round 7, Surfers Paradise v Bonogin Valley – Community Div 1
Coming in at 4-44, Surfers Paradise looked to be in some serious trouble before Johnson came in and took it to the Bonogin Valley bowlers, hitting 10x6s and 10x4s in his 83 ball 128 not out.
Eligh Fermor – 84 (76)
Round 7, Bonogin Valley v Surfers Paradise – Community Div 1
Chasing 253 for victory, Bonogin needed someone to hang around and bat to the end, Fermor was the man who got them off to a brilliant start, hitting 10x4s and three 6s in his 84 for his side to fall just 30 runs short.
Keegan Gill – 113 (62)
Round 7, Mudgeeraba v Bonogin Valley – Community Div 2
An incredible knock from Gill helping his side set a massive total for Bonogin Valley of 6-304.
Robert Shute – 115* (106)
Round 7, Alberton v Southport – Community Div 2
You hear about players carrying their bats, Shute has done exactly that. Needing 250 to win, Alberton were in trouble from the get go, losing consistent wickets early but Shute showed both sides just how easy it was to make runs, as his side finished on 9-183.
Ben Daley – 121* (93)
Round 7, Helensvale Gold v Coomera Hope Island – Community Div 2
Similarly to Shute from Alberton, Daley carried his bat helping his side chase down 201, passing the score with just nine balls to spare.
Brad Lodge – 112 (100)
Round 7, Palm Beach v Alberton – Community Div 3
Lodge opened the batting and wanted to put on a massive partnership early before Alberton claimed the first wicket for 21 but a partnership of 264 with Shayne Townshend set up the match for Palm Beach.
Shayne Townshend – 164* (99)
Round 7, Palm Beach v Alberton – Community Div 3
The other half of the 264 run partnership between Townshend and Lodge, Townshend came in at 1-21 and helped set up a massive score for Palm Beach, who finished on 2-317 from their 36 overs.
Craig Devery – 6-15 (7)
Round 4, Loganholme v Tamborine Mountain Canungra – Over 40s Div 3
Defending a total of just 86, Loganholme needed wickets early, enter Craig Devery who came on as the second changed bowler and ripped through the middle and lower order but wasn’t able to bowl his way to victory, going down by just one wicket.
