It was another classic battle between Contax and Garville on Wednesday night, with the round 10 clash between the two rivals going right down to the wire. Watch the REPLAY here.

Contax survived a late challenge from a fast finishing Garville to secure a big win in their round 10 Netball SA Premier League clash on Wednesday night.

The two clubs headed in with 7-2 records, and despite a strong last quarter showing from Garville, Contax eventually finished 65-60 victors.

In what was an highly entertaining and tight battle throughout, a strong third-quarter showing from the winners ultimately proved to be the difference.

The 21-15 quarter was one built off some strong defensive work from Jazmin McKay and Isabella Noye that allowed shooting one-two punch Sophie Agostino (36 goals) and Jordi Vidmar (29) to take advantage in the circle.

But despite facing an eight-goal deficit at the last break, a spirited Garville outscored Contax 16-13 in the last-quarter that was mostly aided by a run of four goals in the final two minutes of the game.

There will be more than bragging rights on the line when old foes Contax and Garville clash in Netball SA Premier League action on Wednesday night.

With both clubs sitting with 7-2 records and coming off of big wins against Matrics and South Adelaide respectively, the stage is set for one of the games of the year.

The Premier League and Reserves double header will be exclusively live streamed here on KommunityTV from 7pm.

Second-placed Contax’s stifling defence was on show last week in a 46-39 win over modern rival Matrics, with up and coming gun Jazmin McKay impressing in GD and star GK Molly Watson coming back into the fold after time with the Thunderbirds futures.

They will have their work cut out against a third-ranked Garville side which has been reinvigorated this season and is coming off of a strong 62-56 win over South Adelaide, ending a four-game Panthers win streak.

Shooter Leinze Guidera was at her best with 42 goals.

With each side only a win below top spot Oakdale, a victory on Wednesday night would be huge for either club.
