2025 Storm Cup live stream: Hallam v Mt Ridley, The Grange v Manor Lakes (Round 5)

A string of Melbourne Storm-linked young guns are among the top players set to influence the last round of Victorian schoolboys rugby league. Watch two matches LIVE here.

Hallam and The Grange will look to lock up top-two spots as the NRL Schoolboys Storm Cup enters its final round this week.

Both teams, currently first and second, face Mount Ridley and Manor Lakes in the last pool games before the finals.

Hallam can make certain of first with a win over Mount Ridley on Tuesday but a loss would open the door up for The Grange to secure first with a large win when they face Manor Lakes on Friday.

It’s a vital game for the latter, who themselves need to win by a large margin to move past Mount Ridley and fourth, the last finals spot.

Mount Ridley, with a win over Hallam, can make certain of finals and end Manor Lakes chances.

The contest between Hallam and Mount Ridley could be a preview to a semi-final clash between the two if the teams finish first and fourth at the end of Tuesday’s matches.

With the finals on the horizon we have taken a look at the 10 players who have impressed and one’s to watch out for as the Storm Cup enters the pointy end.

WAKA HAMMOND, HALLAM

Arguably the best player in the competition. Was last year’s best on ground in the final of the Storm Cup and started this season with a try in the first couple of minutes of his first game. Capable of playing either at fullback or on the centre/wing, his pace is devastating as he finds a way to get through the opposition’s defence. It’s no wonder the Melbourne Storm are keeping a close eye on him.

PHOENIX WOODS, HALLAM

A powerful forward who has helped Hallam remain unbeaten last year and this year. Woods knows how to get metres through the middle and is not afraid of tearing through a pack, or taking an opportune moment, to score a try, like he did in the first round.

FAATOELAU MAUOLA IAKOPO, THE GRANGE

Has been one of the in-form outside backs for The Grange this season. Scored a hat-trick against Mount Ridley, all in the first half, in a devastating 30 minutes of football. Was part of the Harold Matthews team for the Storm last year.

KYU FIAUI, MOUNT RIDLEY

One of the key forwards for Mount Ridley in the Storm Cup. Is an SG Ball player for the Storm as well. Played a vital role in the side’s win over Manor Lakes to almost book them a spot in the final. Is the key for the school to cause an upset in the finals.

MATT KERETI, THE GRANGE

A talented outside back who almost helped The Grange to win the Storm Cup last year. Devastating with the ball in his hand and a nightmare for opposition coaches. Is also a major leader at the school and part of the Melbourne Storm junior programs.

LOCKYER-AZILE FOLIOLA, VICTORIA UNIVERSITY

One of the best hookers in the competition. When he plays, Victoria University’s spine improves out of sight. Victoria University will hope he plays a major part in its finals push later this season.

LAHTRELLE BEAZLEY-FOLOMU, VICTORIA UNIVERSITY

Has really impressed the coach this year and taken his game to a new level. The outside back was the best player against Manor Lakes and is one of a few youngsters shining at Victoria University.

ELIJAH PO-CHING, VICTORIA UNIVERSITY

The best forward for Victoria University in the competition. He helped the side win the 2023 Storm Cup, scoring a try in the final, and has been a major part of the team since. If Po-Ching is playing well, chances are Victoria University are too.

MICAH WARENA, HALLAM

The co-captain of the reigning premiers. Capable of playing in either the forward pack or as hooker. His versatility is the key but he’s also a talented player. Warena is part of the Melbourne SG Ball squad.

NATHANIEL SIALAOA, THE GRANGE

A try scoring machine. Last year he scored six tries in one game and this year he scored a recent double against Victoria University. With pace the burn the outside back is a handful. Is also a handy kicker.
